Unashamed of the Spirit’s Power

At Abiding Church, we are unashamed of the moving of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit as described in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11:

"To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues."

These gifts are not just relics of the past; they are for today! God still speaks, heals, and moves in supernatural ways. A church without the Holy Spirit is like a body without breath—lifeless and powerless.

How the Holy Spirit Caused Us to Grow

During the 2020 pandemic, when many churches closed their doors permanently, Abiding Church doubled in size. Why? Because we remained faithful to our calling. We didn’t back down from our identity as a Spirit-filled church. Psalm 77:14 declares:

"You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples."

Miracles didn’t stop in the book of Acts. We have seen healings, deliverances, and supernatural provision. The growth we experienced was not because of human strategies but because of the presence of the Holy Spirit. Our obedience to allow the Spirit to lead us was the key to breakthrough.

At Abiding Church, people come expecting to encounter the living God. We don’t just talk about Him—we experience Him. Whether through powerful worship, the preaching of the Word, or the manifestation of spiritual gifts, we believe every person who walks through our doors can experience the Holy Spirit in a personal way.

We have witnessed miraculous healings, prophetic words that confirm what God has already spoken, and people being set free from strongholds they have battled for years. The Holy Spirit is the key to transformation, and Abiding Church stands as a testimony of what happens when a church remains faithful to the move of God.
